TpT Tuesday | Shifting Priorities

As we close out another week, I find myself reflecting on the highs and lows, the successes and challenges that come with the territory of being an educator and a creator on Teachers Pay Teachers (TpT). This week marked a significant low in my journey on TpT, with earnings dwindling to a mere $11.04. It's undoubtedly disheartening to see such a stark decline, but as I pause to analyze the reasons behind it, I realize that sometimes, other priorities take precedence.

In the midst of navigating the intricacies of TpT, I've embarked on a parallel journey towards professional growth. I've been working on my Dossier, a vital step towards securing a $10,000 raise in my position in New Mexico as I transition from level 2 to level 3. This endeavor has consumed a considerable portion of my time and energy, with 75 pages already written! Yay! While the immediate returns may not be tangible, I recognize the long-term benefits that such an achievement promises.

Simultaneously, I've begun to pay more attention to my physical health, reigniting my commitment to regular exercise. Amidst the hustle and bustle of professional obligations and creative pursuits, it's easy to neglect self-care. However, I've come to understand that nurturing my physical well-being is not only essential for my personal vitality but also for maintaining the stamina required to excel in my various roles.

Beyond the realm of academia and entrepreneurship, I've found solace and fulfillment in my involvement with choir and musical theatre endeavors. These creative outlets serve as a refreshing departure from the rigors of my professional life, allowing me to recharge and rediscover my passion for artistic expression.

As I look ahead, I acknowledge the need to realign my focus on TpT in the coming weeks. Despite the recent downturn, I remain steadfast in my commitment to creating quality educational resources and fostering a thriving online community. With spring break on the horizon, I see this as an opportune moment to regroup, reassess, and reignite my enthusiasm for this aspect of my career.

Each week brings its own set of challenges and triumphs. While this week may have been characterized by financial setbacks on TpT, it has also been marked by significant strides towards

advancement, a renewed dedication to personal well-being, and moments of joy found in creative pursuits. As I navigate the ebbs and flows of this journey, I'm reminded of the importance of balance, resilience, and unwavering determination. And so, with a sense of optimism and purpose, I eagerly anticipate the opportunities and adventures that lie ahead.
